What this website does with the information you send it, and what it deliberately does not do.

Who we are
DYO Developments LTD is the controller for the personal information described on this page. We are a construction consultancy working from the Midlands. Our full statutory details are shown in the footer of every page.
This notice explains what happens to information when you use this website. It covers the website only. Where we are appointed on a project, the way we handle project information is set out in that appointment.
What we collect
If you use the enquiry form, we receive the name, organisation, email address, enquiry category and message you type. If you email or telephone us instead, we receive whatever you choose to send.
We do not collect anything else. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not use the form to build a marketing profile of you.
Why we hold it and our lawful basis
We use your enquiry to answer it. That is a legitimate interest: you have contacted us and expect a reply. If your enquiry leads to an appointment, we then hold the information needed to perform that contract.
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Where it goes
The enquiry form sends your message by email to our own business inbox. It is not written into a database on this website, and it is not published anywhere.
Our website is hosted by Base44, which acts as a hosting provider for the page you are reading. Email is handled by our email provider. Both are processors acting on our instructions. We do not pass your enquiry to anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are kept only as long as we need them to deal with the question, then deleted. Where an appointment follows, project and commercial records are kept for the period required by our professional obligations and by law.
Confidential and commercially sensitive material
This website is not a secure channel. Please do not submit confidential tender documents, pricing, drawings supplied in confidence or anything else commercially sensitive through the enquiry form. Describe the enquiry in outline, and we will agree a suitable route for documents before anything is exchanged.
Information you do send us is treated as confidential, but it has not been through a confidentiality agreement at that point, and we cannot treat a public web form as one.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to us holding it at all. Contact us using the details in the footer and we will respond.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. There is nothing to consent to and nothing tracking you between sites. The cookie page explains this in more detail.
Automated decisions and commitments
We do not use automated decision-making on this website, and no artificial intelligence tool is used to answer or assess your enquiry.
Sending the enquiry form does not create a contract, a fee agreement or any obligation on either side. No price quoted through the website is binding.
Changes to this notice
If the way this website handles information changes, for example if analytics were ever added, this notice will be updated before that change goes live and the date below will change.
